April 30th marks the 100th day since President Trump took office. LWVUS staff and local League members are gathering on Capitol Hill to tell members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives to stand up for our democracy.
Clad in League attire, we will show a strong and unified presence in our nation’s capital ,but we need YOUR help.
In just over three months, the President has issued a series of executive orders and directed actions that violate the law and encroach upon Congress’ constitutional authority, threatening our liberties, Constitution, and democracy. Congress must protect the rule of law, defend the Constitution, and end the overreach by the executive branch of government. The League has a vital role to play.

📍 WHERE? Virtual or at your congressperson’s in-district office
This Wednesday, April 30, we urge you to:
- Call the DC offices of your Members of Congress using our script to help us keep phones ringing off the hook;
- Visit your Members’ offices in your state or district to drop off a League memo. Watch a recording of our recent lobby briefing to prepare; and
- Submit our action alert to your Members of Congress.
