Special Election

November 5, 2025
Important News Regarding Mail-in Voting

You need to vote before Election Day if voting by mail. Ballots dropped on election day will no longer be postmarked on that day - but the day after. This was changed by the USPS in September. This means ballots mailed on election day will not be counted.
Vote Early! And encourage everyone to do so as well. If someone has not mailed their ballot on Election Day, they can:
  • go into the post office and have it hand stamped,
  • drop it by a voting center or registrar’s office,
  • or drop into a Ballot Drop-off box.
Check on the county registrar’s office for locations of the vote centers and Ballot Drop-off boxes.

Easy Voter Guide Now Available

This “special election” is to decide whether to temporarily change California’s Congressional voting districts through 2030 and then give map-drawing back to the Citizens Redistricting Commission in 2031. Voters will also decide on whether the state should encourage the use of independent commissions to draw voting maps across the U.S.A. You can find the new and old map at https://statewidedatabase.org/d25/draft-districts/
