Spend an hour with us. Pick from the various volunteer roles & learn the skills for volunteering in our candidate forums: Timekeeper, Moderator, Zoom Host & Co-host. Organizer, Question Developer/sorter. No previous experience needed.
The Timekeeper helps the candidates stay within the time allowed for opening statements and answers to questions.
The Moderator welcomes the audience, introduces the candidates, prompts each candidate to make an opening statement, and poses questions to the candidates in a rotating order.
The Host & Co-host set up & run the Zoom meeting, including recording the meeting in both English & Spanish. This is a behind the scenes role.
The Question Developer/sorter helps develop questions before the forum and gives them to the Moderator before the forum. During the forum the question sorter screens questions submitted by the audience to ensure the questions are relevant, not a duplicate, and are not an attack on any candidate.
The Organizer is responsible to schedule a forum, invite the candidates, confirm their attendance, and orients them to our forum process.
