Qualified Charitable Distributions from and IRA
To Qualify--
- You must be age 70 1/2 or older at the time you make the gift
- Transfers must be made directly from a traditional or Roth IRA account to the League of Women Voters of Sonoma County
- Gifts must be outright with no material benefit received.
Benefits:
Qualified charitable distributions to the League:
- may total up to $100,000 per year, (and we are happy to receive smaller amounts)
- may be used to satisfy your required annual withdrawal
- may be excluded from gross income for federal tax purposes
