How an Idea Becomes a Law
(Even if you aren't from California,
there will still be a lot of
wonderful info and inspiration for you.)

This is a reminder that you have registered to join us for a civics class this coming Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 6pm (PST).  Your Zoom Login should have been emailed to you when you registered.  It will be sent to you again on February 19th and also an hour before the event starts.  Your Zoom login is not in this email.

Why should you take this class?  Laws reveal the values and ideals of a society, as well as the standards for how people treat one other.  Since laws are so important in our lives, do you know how an idea becomes a law?   How easy or hard is it to make a law?  How are differences of opinion handled when making a law?  It's time to find out!   Our February 20th presentation is an easy and fun way to get up to speed about how laws get made in California.

Logan Pitts is a Senior Field Representative and Senior Legislative Aide for California State Senator Bill Dodd.  He knows the entire process -- the good, the bad, the failures, the successes - for how ideas becomes laws.  He is an alumnus of Sonoma State University.  Mr. Pitts has a talent for distilling complex problems into easily understandable concepts.

Make sure your calendars are marked for Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 6pm (PST)!  We look forward to seeing you then!
