Local partnership

completes first project

initiated by

Sonoma County’s Climate Resilience Fund

A partnership between local government, conservation districts and environmental groups recently announced the completion of a pilot project that removed carbon from the atmosphere by applying compost on agricultural land, the first project initiated by Sonoma County's Climate Resilience Fund. The Climate Resilience Fund (CRF), composed of $10 million, was set aside by the Board of Supervisors in May of 2021 out of PG&E settlement funds related to the 2017 fires.  See a list of projects: Read More on the fund
